“ I've been going to Ichibon for years. I'm glad they're still open. I always go for a Japanese beer and shaggy dog roll. The quality has never changed for this roll. Thank you! ”
“ The only issue we had was that the main entrance was barrackaded, so had to go like 5 minutes around and we were a little late for our reservation. Was still seated immediately. Great service and food as always. Felt bad because it seemed like there was only 1 server and 1 cook. He still put on a show and server kept us filled. Would definitely go again, but live 5 hours away. ”

“ TLDR; If you want hibachi, this is the place to go! I walked in expecting it to be like your generic Japanese hibachi place, and boy was I wrong! The food tasted quite a bit better than your average hibachi place! Their chicken katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce that came with the katsu had a nice tangy flavor to it. The Ichibon Chicken was also great! Portions are HUGE, you could easily split a plate between 2 adults, so meals are a great value for those on a budget. For dessert, their green tea ice cream is thick and little on the bitter side--green tea fans will love it! It's a surprisingly cozy and pleasant restaurant to be in. Service was top-notch too. I recommend! ”

“ The REAL is that this 5 star food in a 2 star area of Houston. Nicknamed “Gunspoint” because of all of the previous gun violence and sketchy neighborhoods in the surrounding area. NOT TO WORRY... this entire strip is 24/7 monitored by private security and the strip center hasn’t had an issue in years. I worked in this strip for almost 10 years and the food in this area is amazing... but the area right outside of this strip is still sketchy. GEN Z - looking for a friend hangout or a good evening experience... look no further than this hidden gem! ”

I dined at this great place during lunch hours (1-2pm), it had groups of workmates from the nearby offices. The service was excellent, the hostesses and waiters were good at explaining the meals or drinks. And, the fair prices for such culinary skills (open kitchen?). ”
